Alterations FAQ

We recommend starting 8-10 weeks before your event/prom date to leave enough time for the alterations to be completed.

Your alteration process will vary depending on the alterations needed on your dress, therefore we recommend planning for a minimum of 4-6 visits to get your dress ready for the big day.

Depending on the alterations needed on your dress!

We offer an alterations package that includes all your basic alterations for a one-time fee of $250+ tax.

This fee does not include any customization or fabric needed. A list of price list for alterations available upon request.  

Please plan to pay for your alterations cost on your first fitting, alterations will be put on hold until
we receive the full payment. 

For your first fitting, bring your shoes, any undergarments (such as belts, sticky bra/ spanx, etc) and accessories that you will be wearing.

In your follow up visits make sure you at least have your shoes and any undergarments you will be wearing with your dress.

Make sure you look for your shoes ASAP! We cannot start altering the Hem (length of your dress) without the shoes! The seamstress will start working on other alterations needed until you find your shoes only if needed and in rush cases only.

you can bring a similar height shoe to your appointment, but you will be responsible for the difference of height and if the dress is too short or long.

Any additional required/requested hem adjustments after your initial fitting without the correct wedding shoes will result in additional fees.

 

Yes! however a rush charge will be applied to your total depending on the work required on the dress. Rush fees can range from $75-250.

Your Alterations Package will include all your basic alterations, from Hemming the dress, take in or let out the dress, fix the cups, lower neckline, adjust straps, add bustle, shorten trains, etc
Your Package won't include:
*Any customization such as adding sleeves, add beading, change fit of the dress lowering the back, etc.
* Any fabrics required for the dress, you can order fabric from your wedding dress designer or purchase from local stores.

We recommend starting your alterations only when you stop losing weight, due to sensitivity of the dresses. We also ask to stop losing any weight once you start alterations.
If you do loss or gain weight after your first fitting and the dress would require additional work to fit properly additional fees will apply to rework the dress.

Unfortunately, all of our sales including alteration costs are final sale as per our contract, once the alterations starts we are unable to refund.
All alterations must be completed according to the original timeframe and the dress must be picked up accordingly, Storage fees will apply if no proper arrangement has been communicated with the boutique.
